YingHua Language School Teaching-Opportunity Application Form

The YingHua Language School offers training and development opportunities to its teachers. Here is a Job Description for our teachers.

Our CHL-Track teachers use Dr. Ma's textbook series written for the overseas Chinese children, i.e., "Chinese as a Heritage Language" students or "heritage learners." The textbooks focus on literacy teaching 1300+ characters in the first four years, which enable the students to read more than 90% characters in a Chinese newspaper. The CHL Track is aligned to the requirements and standards of the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam.

Our CSL-Track has two tiers. The CSL Tier 1 uses a four-year curriculum "Chinese Made Fun" written for young students (ages 5 to 12) from non-Chinese-speaking families, i.e., "Chinese as a Second Language" students. The textbooks focus on listening and speaking through children's rhymes and songs. The series was first piloted at YingHua in the 2003-04 academic year. The CSL Tier 2 uses a six-year curriculum "Chinese Made Easy" written for CSL students ages 10 and above. The CSL Track is aligned to the requirements and standards of the SAT II Test.
