Dear Parents,

For our field trip today, we left at 8:30 a.m. to first go to the Capital Museum. This museum focuses on cultural relics from all of China\'s history dating back thousands of years. It is a huge and impressive building. We visited many exhibitions: Bronze-Ware, Calligraphy, Traditional Painting, Rise of Communism, and we saw a short movie about the historical timeline of Beijing.

Then we trekked across the Summer Palace. At the long corridor, all YiB kids were identifying their favorite long-corridor stories. Each student must have written down 18 stories in their field trip book and must find them with their partners. When they found one, their partners would sign their field-trip book.

We rode on a large \"dragon\" boat across the lake in the middle of the Palace grounds to reach an island and took a group picture with a large sculpture of a Bronze Bull. This Bronze Bull was placed here for good weather and to ensure the lake did not flood. It has special scripts written on its back and our students recognized that it\'s in the \"seal\" choreographic style.

We had no group reflection tonight, and tomorrow will be our last day at Yong An hotel before relocating closer to Guang Ai school. Students gathered in the hallway to review for tomorrow\'s test.
