"YingHua in Beijing" Honors Program Staff

Bonnie Liao (Director). Principal, YingHua Language School. Ph.D., University of Houston. MBA, Rutgers University. Dr. Bonnie Liao, a two-time marathon finisher and the mother of two, has a very strong passion and dedication to Chinese education for youth. On weekdays she works as a VP in Management Science at Merrill Lynch. She founded the YingHua Language School in May 2002.
Her responsibilities include overseeing the program's direction and ensuring program objectives are met by working with the top management of Beijing Limai School. She is also responsible for communicating with students and parents to provide the support they need throughout the program.
Hanliang Pan (Assistant Director). Assistant Principal of Beijing Yanjing Professional Cultural School. Ms. Pan returned to China with her family from Indonesia when she was 13 years old in 1950s. A retired chemical engineer, she volunteers most of her time and energy managing the school's business related to Chinese education to the youth born overseas. Her passion and dedication ensures the program's success.
Her responsibilities include providing adequate human resources (outside of Beijing Limai School) to support the program as well as providing guidance and advice on China-related affairs to the program director.
Lingle Wang (Counselor) Staff teacher of Beijing Yanjing Professional Cultural School. Ms. Wang is a retired well-liked Chinese teacher with decades of teaching experience in elementary schools. She lives near Beijing Limai School and she drives(!).
Her responsibilities include keeping a close eye on every student's progress and performance. She is the liaison between YingHua Language School and Beijing Limai School responsible for communicating with all teachers involved at Limai as well as with the program director. She is also the default Legal Guardian for those students who cannot find any Legal Guardians of their own in China. She also takes the students out on weekends and tutors them as needed.
